Overview

Edifier provides multiple options for desktop speakers but only a few are dedicated for gaming.

The G series is the series that is dedicated for gaming from Edifier and it even has its own sub-brand called Hecate and its website, hecategaming.com. It includes the entry level G1000, the mid levels G1500 and G2000 and the high end G5000.

The pricing of the G1000 and the G2000 is not too far apart and this is why I am comparing them in this article.

• Sound quality:
  • G1000 has a lower range (93Hz-20kHz) and power output (2.5W+2.5W)
  • G2000 has a slightly larger bass unit (2 3/4 inches) and a much powerful output at 8w+9w, its frequency range is: 98Hz-20kHz
• Features:
  • Both have a variety of connectivity options, including Bluetooth, aux-in, and USB audio streaming
• Price: G1000 is priced lower than the G2000, but the difference may vary depending on the retailer, location and date.

Likes:

• This is the most affordable speaker in the G series
• It has an ok sound
• Modern Bluetooth connection
• Nice lighting effects

Dislikes:

• Bass is seriously lacking and no subwoofer output
• Inline controls are awkwardly placed and not conveniant
• Not powerfull enough

Likes:

• This is the value speaker in the Edifier G series
• It has a very good sound with good bass
• Modern Bluetooth connection
• Nice lighting effects

Dislikes:

• Small drivers limit the frequency range
